Oak Leaf Litter

Leaf litter - essential to any bioactive enclosure!

Detritivores, such as isopods, are the base of any bioactive enclosure. One of the most essential requirements for their care is leaf litter! Leaf litter is made up of dead leaves to provide detritivores with a steady food supply and places to hide! Our oak leaf litter is heat-sterilized to ensure the safety of all of your tank inhabitants!

It is recommended to have a thick (1"-2" or more in depth) layer of leaf litter on top of the substrate of your bioactive enclosure. Replenish as needed!

Note: This leaf litter is sustainably harvested from nature and may contain twigs, other leaves, and/or other natural debris.
