Salvinia

Salvinia is an aquatic plant that floats on the surface of the water!

Excellent for surface cover in aquariums and ponds, their small roots draw toxins out of the water and help maintain water quality! Salvinia spreads quickly once established and will thrive in aquariums with ample grow lights and nutrients available in the water collumn. 

Salvinia does not like to get it's leaves wet and fare better in aquariums with gentle water flow and effective air ventilation. Too much moisture trapped on the leaves may cause them to rot. This plant takes up nutrients using it's small roots and liquid fertilizers are recommended!

While we check our plants over before packaging to minimize the chance of hitchhikers, we recommend doing a “plant dip” before placing the plants into your tank if you want to indefinitely prevent unwanted snails.
